Dr Aprine Tan graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2012, and completed her Masters in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health from University College London in 2019, majoring in performing arts injuries with a thesis on tendon injuries in ballet dancers.

She has served as a Sports Medicine Senior Staff Registrar in Sengkang General Hospital, and is qualified to perform ultrasound guided injections and non-surgical treatment for various musculoskeletal conditions. She treats athletes and sports enthusiasts, from weekend warriors to professionals, ensuring that they return to their game in the shortest amount of time.

As an avid dancer, she grew up with ballet training in the Royal Academy of Dance method. She was dance captain of the NUS Dance Ensemble and has performed professionally both locally and overseas. She is part of the Sports Medicine Association Singapore Performing Arts Medicine special interest group, and has given workshops and lectures on injury prevention in dancers for organisations such as SCAPE and NUS Centre for the Arts. As an advocate of acts of kindness, she organised Dance for Kindness in 2018, a charity flash mob which merged her passions into a meaningful contribution.

Dr Aprine Tan is amongst the first medical doctors to be trained in DMA Clinical Pilates and is a firm believer of how physical movement heals the body. She has combined her sports medicine knowledge with Clinical Pilates to provide a unique, yet evidenced-based, form of treatment to patients seeking conservative methods of managing their musculoskeletal injuries.

In her free time, she does Muay Thai and teaches Pilates, while enjoying motherhood and bonding with her children. She is a strong advocate for pre- and post-natal health and fitness.
